How Do I Clean My Solid Surface Shower and Shower Glass?

How To Clean Solid Surface Shower:

While our flagship wall and shower pan materials are mildew and mold resistant, they do still need to be cleaned regularly. This is because body washes, shampoos, and soaps leave residue that is ideal food for microbes. A simple 10-15 minute per week regiment is typically sufficient for regular upkeep.

Do:

Use warm, soapy water with a sponge for everyday cleaning.

Rinse immediately with warm water after using cleaners.

Choose non-abrasive cleaners like:

✅ Tilex®

✅ Formula 409®

✅ Simple Green®

✅ Green Works®

✅ Fabulosa®

âś… Microban 24

✅ Once per week disinfecting: Spray shower walls, tub, and or pan with diluted bleach solution (½ cup bleach to 1 gallon water). Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.

âś… Do you have hard water? Two to four times per month, spray shower walls, faucet, showerhead, tub, and or pan with diluted white distilled vinegar solution (1 cup vinegar to 1 cup water). Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. This should help prevent hard water build-up.

If your shower head has heavy hard water buildup, we suggest filling a plastic baggie (e.g. Ziplock) with vinegar water mixture, and tying the bag over the showerhead so it is submerged. Leave overnight and take bag off. Rinse with warm water.

đź’ˇ Remember: Always Rinse immediately with warm water after using cleaners

Don’t:

Use abrasive cleaning products or tools:

❌ Comet® or other powders

❌ Mr. Clean "Magic Eraser"

❌ Soft Scrub

❌ Scrub with Steel Wool

❌ Scotch Brite® pads

❌ Strong solvents (like thinners)

đź’ˇ Remember: Abrasive cleaners or tools can damage the surface and void your warranty.

đź’ˇ Remember: Always rinse all cleaners with warm water immediately. These walls have Microban tech to help keep them clean, but they still need to be regularly cleaned.

DRAIN CLEANER: CAUTION: We suggest attempting to clear the drain with a "Drain Weasel" or other plastic device. Most drain plates can be removed and replaced with minor effort. This is because most drain clogs are caused by excess hair or similar run-off.

Liquid drain cleaners are recommended over powders and/or crystal; however, when using liquid drain cleaning agents, bail the standing water out of the bathtub and remove the drain plug.

Use a funnel to prevent spills and apply the chemicals directly down the drain. Always make certain that chemicals do not come in contact with the acrylic surface.

Note: Proper maintenance is required. You must clean your shower weekly, including a diluted bleach treatment. Use of prohibited solvents or tools may damage the treatment and void any warranty. Failure to clean adequately voids warranties.
